Community Display Space Available (Reuse Shop)
Expression of Interest for use of the Community Space in the Reuse Shop at Tamala Park.
We are inviting community groups and organisations to submit an expression of interest for access to the display area in the Tamala Park Reuse Shop. This space will be provided free of charge and is an opportunity
for aligned community groups to educate the community on options for Reducing, Reusing
The shop has on average, 300 people a day visiting and this space will allow a unique opportunity
for community groups to reach a wide and diverse audience with their messaging.
The available space is located inside and at the entrance of the Reuse Shop.
It is approximately 8m x 3m and backs onto a wall
Flooring is concrete
Power is available
What can the space can be used for?
Conditions of use
Displays/groups must be education based, with their display in line with the MRC vision of Winning Back Waste and compatible with the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle message.
Activities must be conducive to the Reuse Shop environment and non-disruptive to daily operations.
It is the responsibility of the group/organisation to set up their display and provide all material needed to present the display. Some provision of materials/assistance may be given by the MRC but this should not be relied on.
Groups or individuals are considered volunteers when onsite in this community education capacity.
Groups/organisations/individuals will not be permitted to conduct for-profit activities or conduct monetary trade activities whilst onsite.
Displays/activities are not to be of a high-risk nature and must comply with all relevant OSH obligations.Any electriacl equipment must be tested and tagged.
Inductions will be required for those persons manning and/or operating the displays.
Site access will only be between normal daily opening times, 7 days per week, unless otherwise arranged and with visitors being escorted.
Displays are to be contained within the designated area of the Reuse Shop and are not extend into other areas of the shop without prior approval from Resource Recovery Supervisor.
The MRC reserves the right to determine the frequency with which an organisation may be hosted or not host a group / organisation where it believes that it will not be in the best interests of the MRC.
